Finesse Solutions Introduces the TruViu(TM) PLSS System

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 2 -- Finesse Solutions, LLC, Santa Clara, CA, a manufacturer of measurement and control solutions for life sciences process applications, announced the release of TruViu(TM) PLSS, a vessel utility tower system for pilot and small scale production applications. The PLSS package expands on the RDPD system to include substantially more I/O capability and NEMA 4X enclosures. TruViu(TM) PLSS consists of an I/O tower, a transmitter tower, an optional pump tower, and/or an optional TruFlow(TM) gas manifold. TruViu(TM) PLSS brings the benefits of DeltaV reliability and scalability in an affordable package. It interfaces easily with the TruLogic(TM) Controller and TruBio(TM) software to deliver optimal bioprocess control.

TruViu(TM) PLSS is designed to provide a flexible and plug-and-play configuration, in order to maximize ease-of-use, simplify installation, and provide scheduled maintenance. The modular design allows TruViu(TM) PLSS components to be mounted on an industrial cart and be used for bioprocess runs on different single-use pilot and small-scale production vessels.

TruViu(TM) PLSS minimizes floor space while expanding hardware capability to 6 pumps, 6 MFCs, 6 weigh scale inputs, and redundant transmitters for critical process parameters as pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature. TruViu(TM) PLSS utilizes state-of-the-art transmitters that enable sensor calibration algorithms and full sensor diagnostics, and is upgradable to TruFluor disposable sensor technology for single-use applications. TruViu(TM) PLSS therefore delivers the competitive advantages of increased performance, efficiency and reliability, reduced operating costs and improved ease-of-use in a future-proof package.

According to Finesse Solutions VP Hardware, Dr. Alfy Riddle, "Our end users first asked for low cost and minimal footprint systems, so we developed the TruViu(TM) RDPD. Then they asked us to expand the hardware capability to take full advantage of our TruBio(TM) software as well as operate in a wash-down environment. We responded with our TruViu(TM) PLSS."
