Less Noise and More Stable DC Power Distribution

New FMEB and FMEC Filters Are Optimized for DC applications

Santa Rosa, CA, April 2008 - SCHURTER extends its range of DC rated filters with the introduction of series FMEB and FMEC. These filters are especially optimized for use in DC applications, particularly those requiring increased attenuation of asymmetric disturbances.

Applications include DC supplied IT and telecom infrastructures, as well as branch and automation control circuits for the machine and transportation industries. When used in the electrical supply cabinets, the filters guarantee safe operation of the system by attenuating external disturbances.

The filters have a current rating of 30 A at 80 VDC and are offered in single and dual polarity output circuits. The single polarity FMEB filter is designed for a maximum operating voltage of 80 VDC, while the FMEC series offers connections for two polarities for a maximum + 80 VDC. The aluminum housing is potted and has metal flanges for secure mounting to the chassis. The input side is equipped with screw clamps and the output has 6.3 mm x 0.8 mm quick connect terminals. Other terminal configurations are available upon request.

The FMEB and FMEC filters are approved to ENEC and UL/CSA. Delivery is stock to 6 weeks. Pricing starts at under $18.00 for 100 pieces. Information about the FMEB and FMEC can be found at http://www.schurterinc.com/new_emc. For sales and product information contact Cora Umlauf at: 1 800 848-2600 or info@schurterinc.com.
