Universal Power Alert indicates presence of stored energy.
May 6, 2008 -
Hardwired to circuit breaker or main disconnect, UPA-130 Universal Power Alert reduces risk of electrical arc flash by pre-verifying electrical isolation from outside of control panel. Redundant circuitry allows unit to be powered by same voltage it indicates. Designed to fit 30 mm knockout, NEMA 4x (IP66)-rated, 8-detector unit visually alerts operators to presence of any dangerous AC or DC potentials occurring between any combinations of 4 input lines.
NEW! Series UPA-130 Universal Power Alert Indicates Presence of Stored Energy
Dwyer Instruments, Inc., the preferred source for your complete range of practical and affordable instrumentation, is announcing the release of its NEW UPA-130 UNIVERSAL POWER ALERT.
The UPA-130 Universal Power Alert reduces the risk of electrical arc flash by pre-verifying the electrical isolation from the outside of a control panel. The Universal Power Alert is hardwired to the circuit breaker or main disconnect and flashes whenever voltage is present. It is engineered with redundant circuitry, which allows it to be powered by the same voltage that it indicates. The eight detector UPA-130 visually alerts to the presence of any dangerous AC or DC (stored energy) potentials occurring between any combinations of the four input lines (L1, L2, L3, GND). The UPA-130 Universal Power Alert is NEMA 4x (IP66) rated. It is designed to fit a 30mm knockout and can be operated at temperatures -4 to 131°F (-20 to 55°C).
