Silverpop 7.0 Launches to Customer Accolades

New Release Brings Web 2.0-Style Power and Ease-of-Use to Email Marketing

ATLANTA, May 1 / / - Email service provider Silverpop has deployed a new release boasting a rich Web 2.0-style user interface able to transform complex procedures into simple point-and-click processes.

Silverpop 7.0 has been praised for removing the impediments keeping marketers from being as productive and effective as possible. Launched last month, it is receiving accolades from clients for its sophisticated, clean user interface and unique ease of use.

Busy email marketers have long been frustrated with the complex applications offered by most ESPs. In fact, six out of 10 email marketers told JupiterResearch that ease-of-use is the top thing they look for in an email application. In designing its latest release, Silverpop developers focused on utilizing intuitive work flow processes and on-screen help enabling users to quickly and easily access main tasks and key strategic areas of the application. Its new mailing layout includes an intuitive, tabbed interface allowing customers to easily create, save and send campaigns.

Doug Prather, senior director of marketing and direct sales for Hooked on Phonics, was among the first Silverpop customers to use the new release and was impressed with the successes he's had already.

"Previously, an outside agency had been handling our emails, so when we started to do it ourselves, I wanted a solution that was easy-to-use but with powerful features," Prather said. "Silverpop 7.0 is both easy and intuitive, with all the functionality needed to generate great results. It's much easier to segment my database for more targeted mailing, and as a result we've improved open and click rates and generated higher conversion rates."

"I truly believe that Silverpop 7.0 is the industry's most powerful and easy-to-use email marketing solution," said CEO Bill Nussey. "It puts the promise of relevant email marketing within reach. Silverpop email marketers are able to create complex, highly targeted and relevant campaigns with less effort and in less time than it takes to create simple messages using other software solutions."

For example, Nussey said that while most email marketing solutions make including dynamic content a complex hassle, Silverpop 7.0 dramatically streamlines the process to just a few simple points and clicks. It accommodates the easy creation of rules, affords comprehensive preview capabilities so you can see the various permutations, and even gives marketers the ability to save, import and export rule sets.

Silverpop clients know the power afforded their email campaigns with the use of dynamic content, segmentation and targeting. Many clients like Encyclopedia Britannica are able to improve their creation of targeted, relevant email campaigns with Silverpop 7.0.

"As an organization with a large international presence, we need to make sure that every email message we send is targeted and relevant to the needs and interests of our customers," said Greg Drewganis, marketing manager, premium content for Encyclopedia Britannica. "By using dynamic content, we've been able to execute a number of complex email programs that are driven by customer demographics, purchase history, and email behavior. Silverpop 7.0 has proven to be a flexible and easy-to-manage platform that has helped us meet our email marketing objectives and gain valuable insight on our customers."

Other attributes of Silverpop 7.0 include:
- A Web-based WYSIWYG editor that gives users without HTML coding
experience the ability to quickly create, import and edit rich HTML
content
- Support for both Microsoft Internet Explorer version 7.0 and Firefox
Web browsers
- An asset library that allows users to store components that are often
reused, such as company logos, legal disclaimers, etc., when creating
mailings

"Now email marketers can enjoy the kinds of response rates and return-on- investment that comes with sending highly targeted, relevant messages," Nussey said. "And they can do it without the tremendous amount of time, effort and frustration typically associated with fielding highly sophisticated email campaigns."
