The SafetyMed solution uses bar code technology to validate real-time medication order details while confirming patient and medication identity, helping hospitals to achieve the five rights of medication administration: Right Patient, Right Drug, Right Dose, Right Route, Right Time. The SafetyMed solution was designed to allow customers with existing Omnicell medication dispensing systems to implement a bedside point-of-care solution with minimal clinical or IT staff disruption and without the expense of replacing legacy hardware.
