SolaHD STFE Elite Series Puts Active FilteringŪ Protection on DIN Rail

ROSEMONT, IL, April 18, 2008 - SolaHD, a leading supplier of power quality solutions, today introduced its new STFE Elite Series of Active TrackingŪ Filters with surge suppression.

Designed for mounting on standard DIN rails, the filters provide superior protection against the full spectrum of voltage transients and surges that may impair operation of control panels, factory automation systems, Point of Use equipment, programmable logic controllers, and other industrial and machine tool equipment.

STFE Elite filters combines a hybrid-clamping network with Active Tracking Filter technology, allowing them to continuously track the input AC power line and respond instantly upon detecting extraneous high frequency noise and high voltage transients. These problems are caused by everyday events such as turning on machinery, motors or equipment, making no system immune.

Key features of the filters include: a patented metal mount clip, UL Listed surge current capacity of 45,000 amps, a fully enclosed metal housing, transient protection in all modes (L-N, L-G and N-G), a wide operating temperature of -40°C to +50°C, LED status indication, and a Form C contact for remote monitoring. They measure a compact 4.88 x 2.56 x 4.56 inches (H x W x D).

The filters can be built to meet unique applications requirements, and are available in hardwire DIN Rail mount, single-phase configurations. They are designed for years of trouble free operation and require little or no operator intervention after installation. They meet UL 1449, UL 1283, cUL recognized component, and CE.

SolaHD STFE Elite filters are immediately available with list pricing starting at $170.00 (U.S.). They are backed by a five-year warranty.
