Suited for wireless, datacom, and industrial applications, 250 W Series SDR250 offers 11 single output and 6 dual output models. Output voltages for single output versions range from +5 to +60 Vdc, while dual output units provide combinations of +3.3, +5, +12, +24, and +48 Vdc. For both models, output 1 can be trimmed ±5%. Measuring 3.2 x 5 x 1.5 in., U channel version has power density of 10.4 W/cu-in. and requires 16 cfm of forced air cooling to achieve 250 W output.
Ultra Compact High Power Density 250 W AC/DC Power Supply Offers 600 W Peak Power
XP Power announces the release of its SDR250 series of compact 250W power supplies offering both single and dual outputs. The U channel version, measuring just 3.2 x 5 x 1.5 inches (81.2 x 127.0 x 38.10 mm), has a power density of 10.4 Watts per cubic inch and requires only 16CFM of forced air cooling to achieve 250W output. Other mechanical formats include a U channel with vented cover and an enclosed, fan cooled model. Using convection cooling alone the single output versions are rated up to 135W.
The series is ideal for a wide range of wireless, datacom and industrial applications. The unit can supply up to 600W peak power for short periods. Using this compact power supply in place of a larger higher rated unit, engineers can save space and budget.
The series offers 11 single output and 6 dual output models. Output voltages for the single output versions range from + 5 VDC to +60 VDC. Dual output units provide combinations of +3.3, +5, +12, +24 and +48 VDC. For both output models, output 1 can be trimmed +/- 5%.
The SDR250 series operate from 0 to +70 degrees C, with linear derating above +50 degrees C. All models comply with FCC Part 15 & EN550022 Level B standards for conducted emissions. No additional filtering components are required. The units also meet the industrial, commercial and IT equipment safety approvals specified by UL60950 & EN60950.
The power supply provides a Power Good signal for monitoring purposes, a remote on/off function is also provided.
Designers may specify either screw terminal or Molex connector options for added flexibility when considering how to connect to their devices.
Sample quantities are available from stock with production leadtime of 8 weeks ARO. Pricing for OEM quantities of the single output U bracket models is $117.00.
