Miniature Background Suppression Sensors have 350 mm range.
April 8, 2008 -
Supplied in 31 x 11 x 23 mm housing, ML7 Background Suppression (BGS) Photoelectric Sensors offer adjustable sensing range and automatic crosstalk protection. Latter enables multiple ML7 sensors to be mounted side-by-side, with no interference between units. While LED indicators relay power and output status as well as diagnostic information, 4-in-1(TM) output technology automatically detects connected load and sinks or sources as needed.
New Background Suppression Sensors Deliver Unrivaled Sensing Range from Miniature Housing
TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces long range ML7 Background Suppression (BGS) Photoelectric Sensors. ML7 BGS sensors feature a compact 31mm x 11mm x 23mm housing and deliver a sensing range of up to 350 mm - more than double the sensing range of competitive miniature background suppression sensors.
These sensors feature automatic crosstalk protection that enables multiple ML7 sensors to be mounted side-by-side with no interference between the units. Enhanced LED indicators provide power and output status, as well as detailed diagnostic information. ML7 BGS sensors also feature the innovative 4-in-1(TM) output, exclusive to Pepperl+Fuchs. This technology automatically detects the connected load and sinks or sources as needed, simplifying selection, stocking, and installation time and costs.
ML7 BGS sensors have an adjustable sensing range that can be customized to satisfy the needs of a particular application. They are well suited for packaging, converting, material handling, and assembly applications that require particularly long sensing ranges.
Background suppression optimizes the detection of variously colored targets without the need for reflectors or thru-beam sensing arrangements. In addition, objects in the background, even directly behind the target, are ignored.
Pepperl+Fuchs is a world leader in the design, manufacture and application of high quality factory and process automation products and services. Pepperl+Fuchs pioneered the development of proximity sensors 45 years ago, and has set the standard for innovation and quality ever since.
