Jaeger® ID8A/B Series incorporate powder-coated aluminum housing, steel protection tube, steel or stainless extension tube, and powder metal gears to withstand harsh operating environments. Offered in 12 and 24 Vdc versions, actuators offer static load capacities from 4,500-13,600 N and stroke lengths from 100-600 mm. ID8A series with Acme screw and ID8B series with ball screw achieve full-load speeds to 25 and 45 mm/s and force to 2,500 and 4,500 N, respectively.

Jaeger® brand "ID8A/B Series" linear actuators from SKF® incorporate highly robust engineering for optimized and reliable performance in the most demanding industrial applications. Enhanced corrosion resistance and effective O-ring sealing contribute added protection in harsh operating environments.
ID8A/B linear actuators (12VDC and 24VDC) can run in a wide range of ambient temperature conditions as low as -26º C or as high as 65º C. They offer static load capacity from 4500N to 13600N, depending on model, and standard stroke lengths from 100mm to 600mm. The ID8A series with Acme screw can achieve full-load speeds up to 25mm/s and force up to 2500N in both push and pull modes. The ID8B series with high-efficiency ball screw can deliver full-load speeds up to 45mm/s with force reaching 4500N in both push and pull modes.
Their rugged construction features powder coated aluminum housing, steel protection tube, steel or stainless extension tube, and powder metal gears; a clutch provides overload protection for safety; and actuators are lubricated at the factory for their service life. They comply with IP52 and an optional IP65 version can be ordered. ID8 series actuators offer duty cycles up to 25 percent.
Users can specify thermo protection, adjustable limit switches, and potentiometer sensor as additional options and otherwise customize to satisfy particular application requirements. Full application support is available.
