Compix Media Introduces AutoCast(TM) Version 2.1 Featuring Intelligent Interface

- Automation tool streamlines workflow, enables real-time updates to live SD and HD video feeds. New intelligent interface enhances compatibility with leading automation products -

IRVINE, Calif., April 2, 2008 -- Compix Media, a leading designer and manufacturer of PC-based Live Video Graphics solutions, announced the release of AutoCast version 2.1, a Windows-based application that creates and automates playlists of video graphics created with Compix's GenCG software. This new tool will be demonstrated in booth SL8205 along with Compix Media's full line of Live Video Graphics products at the NAB Show 2008 in Las Vegas, April 14th.

With any Compix Live Video Graphics system, AutoCast enables users to create graphics templates containing Alias Objects, or place holders, that specify dynamic text and image positions within the template. Text and images from simple text files within an application (or from external sources such as ODBC databases, websites and Excel(TM) files) are integrated by AutoCast into the template. This integration can be performed manually or through a number of automation options. Once the playlist is built, AutoCast sequences and cues each integrated graphic image for live playout.

AutoCast version 2.1 also features the broadcast industry-standard Intelligent Interface protocol, enabling all Compix Media Live Video Graphic systems to operate compatibility with the leading broadcast, news and PEG automation systems.

AutoCast adds new efficiencies to the traditionally manual, operator-intensive live video graphics workflow. The template-based approach enables fast, automated, and easy re-purposing of graphic assets, freeing up time to design a more sophisticated and elegant look and feel. AutoCast also brings a new level of efficiency to graphic asset storage and retrieval, because the template approach reduces the number of iterations of similar graphics. Changes to a particular graphic are made and saved within the AutoCast playlist, saving both revision time and storage space.

One of AutoCast's most powerful features is the ability to automatically change and enter text within a graphic template, using industry standard ASCII based .txt files, ODBC-compliant databases, or URL-based locations from the Internet. Constantly updated text based information, such as performer/player rosters, sequenced titles, or names of on-air personalities, can be retrieved from text files or databases set up in advance of an event. Dynamic text displays -- such as sports scores, weather updates or election results - can be automatically updated and integrated into graphics templates from dynamic websites in real time, and played over live video feeds.

AutoCast is currently available, and can be packaged with any new Compix's Live Video Graphics system, or purchased as an add-on tool for existing Compix systems for $1995 (US).

For more information or to request a no cost no obligation demonstration of AutoCast, please visit Compix Media at http://www.compixmedia.com/ or contact Veronica Kim, Worldwide Sales, +1 949 585 0055.
