Able to cut copper and aluminum cables up to 2/0 AWG, 727M Cable Cutter has molded grips with hard underside for strength and soft, slip-resistant, ergonomic outside for comfort. Grip width optimizes load bearing area to facilitate handling, and hot riveted joint provides smooth opening/closing action. Product uses forged steel blanks that are heat-treated and precision-ground for extended life and cutting capability. Black oxide finish provides additional safeguard against rust.

Greenlee Offers New Hand-Held Cable Cutter with Extra-Wide Molded Grips
ROCKFORD, Ill. February 27, 2008 -Greenlee, a Textron Inc. The grips on the 727M are also designed with extra-width to provide a larger load bearing area that makes it easier on the hands. While users can feel the difference that the softer, wider grips provide, Greenlee will still make the original 727 cable cutter available. These tools easily cut copper and aluminum cables up to 2/0 AWG (70 mm²).
Both the 727M and the 727 cable cutting tools use the same forged steel blanks that are heat treated and precision ground to provide long life and easy cutting. The hot riveted joint provides a smooth opening and closing action while the rust-resistant black oxide finish provides additional safeguards against rust.
