Mantra 5.9 installs and deploys faster than other solutions and policies are easier to generate and maintain, contributing to a lower total cost of ownership. Mantra Features Reduce the Cost of Compliance
Mantra is the first product designed specifically for high-performance database monitoring and auditing. Unlike firewall-based solutions, Mantra's architecture balances sophisticated policy filtering, analytics and reporting capabilities with an intuitive user interface and policy language. This functionality enables rapid deployment across relational databases and data stored on file shares. Mantra's innovations include:
o Behavioral Fingerprinting® - Mantra automatically identifies suspicious behavior in real time, eliminating the need for complex baseline policies which generate volumes of false positives.

o Enhanced Hardware Platform - The Mantra appliance has been enhanced to provide additional options for connectivity to multiple network-switches.
o Software Collectors - Mantra E-TAP Agents can now be used to collect local and network traffic offering a simple and cost effective solution for auditing branch offices or remote sites where an appliance cannot be deployed.
Market and Tizor Momentum

Gartner Research DAM Technology Provides Monitoring and Analytics with Less Overhead, by Mark Nicolett and Jeffrey Wheatman, November 20, 2007 states that "auditors and security teams should evaluate DAM technologies to identify applicability in their enterprises to enhance overall risk management and achieve data governance goals." Moreover, "DAM is a crucial capability because organizations typically store sensitive, business-critical information in their DBMSs." The research goes on to provide recommendations including "Implement DAM functionality to mitigate the high levels of risk resulting from database vulnerabilities and to address audit findings in such areas as database segregation of duties (SOD) and change management and use DAM technology when there is a need for granular monitoring or the overhead of database audit functions is unacceptable."
