Milwaukee Adds 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer to the V18(TM) Lineup

MILWAUKEE, WI - Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation introduces the 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer, designed to provide professional and industrial contractors power and versatility in a compact, lightweight package.

Powered by Milwaukee's V18(TM) lithium-ion technology, the 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer provides consistent fade free power and superior run time. With three modes of operation - rotary hammer, drill only and chipping - contractors can use the tool for concrete drilling, wood and steel drilling and light chiseling applications. With a super premium switch and a rock solid gearbox the 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer provides maximum durability and jobsite performance.

A compact, lightweight and highly ergonomic rotary hammer, the 0856-22 is ideal for drilling small to medium diameter holes (5/8" or lower). It's L-shape design positions the operator's hand directly behind the drill bit for optimal balance and maximum control and the non-slip soft grip handle helps reduce vibration and fatigue. With a length of only 12 inches and a total weight of 8.8 pounds, contractors can easily access tight areas and control the tool even in extended drilling applications. The large two-finger variable speed trigger ensures smooth, accurate starts and comfortable drilling. Contractors that frequently drill overhead and work on lifts, scaffolds and ladders will enjoy the tool's well balanced design and the built-in battery fuel gauge on V18 batteries that allows them to check how much run time is left in the battery before climbing up to the work area.

The 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer hits hard and drills fast with an 18-volt motor that delivers 4,500 BPM and 9,450 ft/lbs of impact energy. Combined with hardened steel cut gears, the 7/8" Compact SDS Rotary Hammer provides efficient energy transfer and a robust clutch maintains stiffness to provide the torque needed for drilling through metal pan decking and into concrete ceilings. It incorporates an all-metal gearbox, auto stop brushes and heavy-duty components for long-term durability.
The V18 7/8" SDS Rotary Hammer Kit includes two V18 batteries with a built-in battery fuel gauge, a charger with pass-through plug, side handle, depth gauge and blow molded case. Also available is 0856-20 - V18 SDS Compact Rotary Hammer bare tool for contractors that want to add the rotary hammer to their current V18 lineup.
