Inlite Research Announces .NET Support for Popular, High Performance 1D Barcode Recognition Engine

Sunnyvale, CA - March 20, 2008 - Inlite Research Inc, a leading worldwide provider of production quality tools for data capture, today announced the general availability of the ClearImage 1D Pro version 5.5. The expanding market for document data capture brings less trained and less specialized operators and application developers in contact with imaging and data capture technology, while cost pressures dictate ever higher productivity. This trend makes ease of use and accurate data capture under all circumstances even more important than before. New technology from Inlite Research simplifies the use of the products and enhances production scanning performance with:

o .NET support for managed code
o Support for PDF input files.
o Source code examples for VB.NET and C#

"Our developers asked for easier integration and higher performance in order to help their end users meet productivity targets," said Gene Manheim, Inlite's president and chief technology officer. "The new .NET architecture offers a simple interface with powerful automation which means that developers can focus on their application and end user requirements, instead of the image processing details."

ClearImage Barcode 1D PRO recognizes an unlimited quantity of barcodes, in up to 21 different symbologies, in any orientation and in poor quality images from fax, scanners, MFPs, microfilm or camera inputs. The engine is unsurpassed in its ability to recognize difficult poor quality barcode images (for details please refer to http://www.inliteresearch.com/homepage/products/read_1d_barcode_pro.html)

The ClearImage SDK is free of charge to developers and can be donwloaded from http://www.inliteresearch.com/homepage/download/downloadCI.html . Runtime licenses cost $425 or $562 per computer (quad core). Inlite provides complete, live support for one year after purchase.
