Mar-Kov Computer Systems Has Released Version 7.0 of its Chemical Manufacturing System for Process Manufacturers

Tuesday, March 25, 2008

Toronto, Canada - Mar-Kov Computer Systems, a leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) announced today that it has released Mar-Kov CMS Version 7.0.

Mar-Kov CMS helps to streamline manufacturing processes, improve product quality, decrease product cycle times, and assure compliance in GMP and FDA regulated production and packaging environments.

New and Improved Features

Batch Execution (Improved)
CMS now prompts and polices the operator through the execution of a batch including all process steps, equipment reservation, equipment cleaning and sanitization. With this added functionality paper documents are no longer required to fully execute a manufacturing order.

Workflow (Improved)
Workflow can be attached to most processes in CMS. Workflow enhancements include automatic e-mail notification of all concerned parties.

Significantly Faster (New)
Developed in .NET, CMS has reduced the number of communication transactions required between our software and the server, significantly improving performance particularly over wide area networks.

No Citrix or Terminal Server Required (New) CMS no longer requires a permanent unbroken connection to the server - our software automatically reconnects as necessary. This makes implementation across a WAN extremely efficient. Browser based convenience without the limitations of a browser interface.

User Customizable Forms (New)
All forms can now be customized by the user. This includes adding and removing fields, renaming fields, reorganizing fields, and adding new tabs to a form.

User Customizable Reports (New)
All reports are user customizable.

Packaging Order Execution (New)
CMS will guide the operator through the execution of packaging orders including equipment reservation and enforcement of equipment cleaning/sanitization procedures. This feature provides traceability for all ingredients and packaging materials.

Scale Calibration (New)
Our software will enforce the calibration of scales according to user defined schedules.

Mar-Kov CMS provides immediate benefits to clients, including complete traceability of all materials and operations, consistent standardized recipes, and less paperwork to meet compliance requirements.

Mar-Kov CMS is a modular integrated software solution for chemical manufacturers in regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, flavor and fragrance, and nutriceuticals. Modules include Manufacturing Execution, Inventory Control and Warehousing, Recipe/Formulation Development, Laboratory Information Management, and QC/QA.
