Matrix Solutions come in high-current, high density models.
March 28, 2008 -
LXI-compliant 60-600 and 60-552 come in full rack width, 1U enclosures that use, respectively, 8- and 78-way D Type connectors. Offered as 256 relay crosspoint matrix with 10 A rating, 60-600 can be supplied in one-pole configurations from 64x4 to 16x16 and switch voltages up to 30 Vdc or 250 Vac. Model 60-552 is 4096 relay crosspoint matrix with 2 A rating capable of switching voltages up to 220 Vdc or 250 Vac. Full version is 64x64 matrix, partial configurations are also available.
Pickering Interfaces Introduces New LXI Switching Solutions
Clacton on Sea, UK- March 2008 , -Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of LXI compliant products with the introduction of two new matrix solutions.
The 60-600 is a high current capacity 256 relay crosspoint matrix with a 10 A rating capable of switching voltages up to 30 VDC or 250 VAC. The 60-600 can be supplied in a variety of matrix configurations from 64x4 to 16x16, one pole. The 60-600 is packaged in a compact full rack width 1U enclosure using 8 way high power D Type connectors for both the X and Y axis connections.
The 60-552 is a very high density 4096 relay crosspoint matrix with a 2A rating capable of switching voltages up to 220 VDC or 250 VAC. The fully loaded version of the 60-552 is supplied as a 64x64 matrix, but partial x64 configurations are also available. Like the 60-600, the 60-552 is supplied in a compact 1U full rack width enclosure but uses 78 way D Type connectors for the user connections. Loop thru connections are provided to simplify the creation of even larger matrices by using cabled connections between multiple 60-552 matrices. These cables can be purchased from Pickering Interfaces.
David Owen, Business development manager for Pickering Interfaces commented "These matrices are part of our expanding range of large scale switching solutions available with LXI compliant control interfaces. LXI is proving to be an ideal platform for Pickering Interfaces to develop large switching systems that suit a wide variety of application. The form factor of the units permits the creation of systems that are easy to configure and simple to program."
