Upgrade Kits add functionality to hydraulic test systems.
March 27, 2008 -
Available for Instron and non-Instron hydraulic load frames, EXTEND(TM) Upgrade System packages update tension, compression, bend, and shear testing systems with software and real-time system status electronics. I-Series electronics allow for automatic recognition and calibration of transducers, while fully integrated Partner(TM) Software delivers automated data collection, result calculation, networking capabilities, and online help system.
Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, offers EXTEND(TM) Upgrade System packages for Instron and non-Instron hydraulic load frames. Developed for high-capacity tension, compression, bend and shear testing, hydraulic testing systems can be updated with user-friendly software and real-time system status electronics.
The I-Series electronics allow for automatic recognition and calibration of transducers, ensuring safe and proper testing. Featuring unparalleled accuracy and advanced real-time control, these electronics can control the frame using any combination of load, strain or speed rates. I-Series signal conditioners utilize AC excitation to reduce inaccuracy caused by noise throughout the capacity of your test system and offer 40 kHz data sampling, 32-bit digital signal processing and up to 500Hz data capture rate that is synchronous on all channels.
Partner(TM) Software is fully-integrated and features automated data collection, result calculation, networking capabilities and an online help system. This user-friendly software comes standard with test wizards that guide users through development of basic and advanced test procedures.
The user control panel is designed as an independent panel; run start/stop, balance load, reset gauge length, jog and specimen protect directly at the load frame. Features include frame status indicator lights for each control and a unique thumb wheel for precise adjustment of the hydraulic actuator.
Additional options and features include a new hydraulic pumping unit on existing servo controlled systems or when upgrading (if required), on-site installation and calibration, and customer support by Instron's worldwide network of experienced service engineers.
