CDB Software Simplifies DB2 Data Management with CDB/RTS Automation

CDB provides a new level of automation for its Industry-Leading Intelligent Data Management Solutions with support for DB2 Real Time Statistics through CDB/RTS Automation

HOUSTON, March 18 -- CDB Software, Inc., an industry leader in solutions for DB2 z/OS data management, today announced the release of CDB/RTS Automation v9.0.6, the latest addition to its Intelligent Data Management Solutions. CDB/RTS Automation provides a new level of automation to DB2 data management with unparalleled support for DB2 Real Time Statistics. CDB/RTS Automation requires no external monitors or pre-processors, but instead is an internal add-on to the CDB suite that allows products such as CDB/Auto-Online Reorg, CDB/Auto-Online Copy and CDB/Runstats to make real-time decisions about objects during utility execution. CDB/RTS Automation enables the products to make use of the DB2 Real Time Statistics tables during execution time, making decisions based on user defined criteria while allowing for any exceptions that must be followed. Without any additional processes to maintain, all Real Time Statistics criteria are automatically followed and only objects that actually need maintenance get processed, reducing CPU costs and increasing application performance.

"CDB/RTS Automation is an extraordinary addition to our line of products," said John Barry, vice president, Pre-Sales and Marketing, CDB Software. "This product allows customers to take control of their growing environments virtually hands free. CDB/RTS Automation is another example of our commitment to streamline data management and to our focus on the future of DB2."
