Heat Exchanger targets refrigerant-based applications.


March 18, 2008 - At 20 lb and 5 x 12 x 5.4 in., 5 Ton Chiller is brazed plate heat exchanger rated at 450 psig. It has copper-brazed SS construction with high-performance heat transfer surface and includes top sealing plate and Easy Sweat fittings. UL Listed device can handle wide range of fluids and can be computer selected for specific application conditions. System is suited for use in commercial, industrial process, or residential applications.

GEA FlatPlate Introduces the 5 Ton Baby


(York, PA) -- GEA FlatPlate introduces their newest brazed plate heat exchanger, the 5 Ton Chiller. This "baby" is a compact alternative for the larger shell and tube type heat exchangers, and is the smallest compact chiller available. The 5 Ton Chiller's progressive design is only 20 pounds, and at 5" x 12" x 5.4", it offers more efficiency in a fraction of the space.

It is copper brazed stainless steel construction with a high performance heat transfer surface. The 5 Ton Chiller, with a rating of 450 PSIG, is designed specifically for refrigerant based applications, and has a low internal volume requiring less refrigerant charge. Other important features include a top sealing plate to prevent frost damage, and Easy Sweat fittings for easier and faster installation.

It can handle a wide range of fluids and can be computer selected for specific application conditions. The 5 Ton Chiller is UL Listed and GEA FlatPlate provides application assistance.
