MI Fe 500 µm Coating Thickness Measuring Instrument is pen-shaped probe for measurements of thin coatings on both normal and small parts like screws, small machine parts, rings, braces, nails, beams, or studs. Operating with Magnetic Inductive principle, it measures non-ferromagnetic coatings as well as lacquer, enamel, or plastic coatings on steel substrate. It is also available with coating thickness gauge stand.
Coating Thickness Measuring Instrument MI Fe 500 µm (20 mil)
Measures very thin coatings and on small parts (galvanized steel, for example).
Automation USA Inc, - well known for providing solutions in testing physical surface properties, most importantly measuring coating thickness - expands its modular system probe portfolio by designing a state of the art pen shape probe for precision measurements of thin coatings on both normal and parts of small dimensions like screws, small machine parts, rings, braces, nails, beams, or studs.
In addition to our standard probes operating with the Hall sensor principle, the MI Fe 500µm operates with the Magnetic Inductive principle, precisely measuring non-ferromagnetic coatings (chromium, copper, zinc, etc) as well as lacquer, enamel or plastic coatings on steel substrates and within the lowest measuring range. For highest precision, the pen shape probe is available with a coating thickness gauge stand. Using the pen shape probe with the coating thickness gauge stand will improve on repeatability and reproducibility of readings. This probe, in combination with the modular system QNix 8500, will find its application with corrosion protection and tool making industries.
