On-Demand Packaging Materials Now a Reality with MINI PAK'R(TM) Air Cushion Machine
New Desktop-Size Machine Ideal for Small Businesses, OEM Manufacturers, Artists, eBay Shippers and Others Who Ship Fragile or Valuable Items
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., March 12 -- The new desktop-sized MINI PAK'R(TM) air cushion machine, now available from packaging industry leader FP International is revolutionizing the packaging preferences of small businesses, artists, medical equipment companies and others who regularly ship fragile or valuable items. The machine creates six different air cushions configurations that provide superior protection to standard bubble wrapping material. This range of packaging options gives shippers customizable packaging for virtually everything that they ship, on demand.
The MINI PAK'R saves money and space. In fact, one small roll of MINI PAK'R NOVUS Quilt-Air(R) Large film makes the equivalent of 1.33 rolls of 1/2" X 48" x 250' bubble wrap; one small roll of MINI PAK'R NOVUS Double Cushion(R) film makes the equivalent of seven 14 cubic foot bags of peanuts.
The MINI PAK'R, which sells for $1,799, can be purchased online at http://www.minipakr.com/.
According to Joe Nezwek, president of FP International, the MINI PAK'R air cushion machine offers the small shipper the advantages long enjoyed by large retail and industrial shippers. "The patented NOVUS air cushions made by the MINI PAK'R offer more protection than other products because air moves between channels instead of popping the cushion like standard bubble wrapping products. This means superior cushioning and protection for fragile and valuable items. Our shippers save money on packaging materials and damage claims related to breakage." He adds, "The MINI PAK'R's small size and easy operation make it ideal for a wide range of packaging scenarios. Plus, the air cushions it makes are environmentally friendly, and can be reused or recycled."
The MINI PAK'R is simple to operate. The machine "reads" an RFID tag in the film roll and automatically sets the air fill amount and seal temperature for the user. Then, the user simply selects one of the six MINI PAK'R cushion choices, loads the film and makes packaging material on demand. It works quickly, producing cushions at 25 feet per minute.
The size of a desktop printer or fax machine, MINI PAK'R can easily sit on a tabletop or be mounted on a wall.
The MINI PAK'R air cushion machine can be purchased at http://www.minipakr.com/, or by calling 1-888-MINIPKR (1-888-646-4757).
The new MINI PAK'R(TM) air cushion machine is an important addition to any packaging or shipping and distribution center. It is a convenient, simple to use and space-saving solution for small businesses, artists, medical supply companies, OEM manufacturers, eBay shippers, pack-and-ship stores and others who need "on-demand" air cushion packaging capabilities. In fact, the MINI PAK'R machine was named "Best of Show for Equipment and Manufacturing" at the 2007 National Convention of the Associated Mail & Parcel Centers.
