ICOP Digital Commences Shipping ICOP EXTREME(TM) Wireless Mic to Law Enforcement Agencies Nationwide

Industry First: Wireless Microphone that Records High Quality Audio Up to One Half Mile from Patrol Car

LENEXA, Kan., March 13 -- ICOP Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ:ICOP), an industry-leading company engaged in advancing digital surveillance solutions, today announced the commercial availability of the new ICOP EXTREME(TM) Wireless Mic, a 900 MHz wireless microphone that records high quality audio at a range of over 2,000 feet (line of sight), representing an industry first and an industry best. The industry standard wireless microphone delivers very poor quality audio, at very short range from the police vehicle.

Used in conjunction with the ICOP Model 20/20(R)-W digital in-car video system, the ICOP EXTREME Wireless Mic uses Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) to eliminate the risk of interference from other devices using the same frequency band, and provides secure, private audio recording. The ICOP EXTREME Wireless Mic auto-synchronizes, with the appropriate police vehicle, ensuring that each wireless microphone records to the proper vehicle. Field tests confirm that the ICOP EXTREME Wireless Mic successfully captures and records audio from up to one half mile (line of sight) from the police vehicle, far outperforming all competitive offerings available on the market today.

"The quality of the audio submitted as case evidence is perhaps just as important, if not more crucial, than the video itself in certain instances where the verbal exchange between an officer and an alleged offender provides the proper context and perspective of an incident -- which is especially important the farther the officer gets from the mobile cameras installed in the patrol car," noted Jack Reece, Information System Specialist at the Leawood Police Department in Kansas.

According to Dave Owen, Chairman and CEO of ICOP, "We are very pleased to begin offering the ICOP EXTREME Wireless Mic as the newest addition to our growing product line-up. As Jack noted, many times it is only the high quality audio captured during an incident that serves to rightfully exonerate an officer from alleged wrongdoing, or serves to secure convictions if the video of the incident fails to properly clarify an offender's intent or actions. The ICOP EXTREME wireless microphone represents yet another example of how ICOP's engineering expertise has led to another industry first and another industry best for ICOP, delivering the most advanced, mission-critical technology for use by our nation's first responders."
