March 20, 2008 - Featuring 85-264 Vac input with active PFC, SMM201 delivers full-rated output of 200 W with 15 LFM of forced air and has convection rating of 150 W. Size of 5.0 x 3.0 x 1.39 in. makes power density 13.33 W/in.ł, and safety ground leakage current is less than 140 ľA @ 132 Vac input. Single-output model has main output with available voltages from 12-60 Vdc up to 200 W, while dual-output model has second output with voltages from 3.3-12 V and current rating to 5 A.

Ultra-Compact, Single and Dual Output Medical Power Supply Series


HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - March 11, 2008 - Conversion Devices, Inc. a merchant supplier of custom and standard medical power supplies has announced the introduction of its SMM201 medical grade switcher. This is the companies first offering of its New "ZVS", High Efficiency Eagle II Family of medical power supplies.

The new high-density, low leakage 200-Watt medical power supply features a wide range 85-264 VAC input with active power factor correction to minimize input harmonic distortion. The SMM201 measures a mere 1.39" H x 3.0" W x 5.0" L with a power density of 13.33 watts/in3. The unit delivers its full rated output of 200W with 15 LFM of forced air and has a convection rating of 150W. As a single output model the SMM201 features a high current main output with available voltages from 12 to 60 Vdc up to 200 watts. The dual output model has a second output with voltages ranging from 3.3V to 12V with a current rating up to 5A.

Features include a built-in CISPR 22 Class "B" EMI filter. Safety ground leakage current is less than 140 ľA @ 132 VAC input and 280 ľA @ 220 VAC input.

The new SMM201 model has an operating temperature range of zero to 50°C without derating and can function up to 70°C by derating the output 2.5 percent per degree C.

This small, low power switcher is ideally suited for a wide variety of medical applications including: medical diagnostic devices, patient monitors, cosmetic lasers, and respiratory systems.

The SMM201 meets worldwide medical safety and performance standards of UL60601, CSA 22.2 No. 601.1. IEC601-1 and EN60601-1.
