Three New Product Lines Added To PFERD Diamond Cut-Off Wheels

March 4, 2008, Leominster, MA- Cutting concrete, hard stone, bricks or even granite and other abrasive materials now being commonly used in today's construction jobs can be tough tasks, especially in attaining optimum results. PFERD Diamond Cut-Off Wheels simplify these tasks two ways. One- their high grade diamond coating lets them cut quickly and efficiently. Two- their three new lines have color coded labels that help users select just the right wheel for the specific cutting job at hand.

An orange background behind the horizontal stripe on a PFERD cut-off wheel indicates it is the PS-FORTE or Universal Line which is the cost efficient choice for general purpose cutting. A silver background color signifies the PFERD SG-ELASTIC Performance Line which meets industry and trade professional standards. Finally, a blue background identifies the PFERD SG-PLUS Special High Performance Line which provides the ultimate in quality and cutting performance. All wheels are clearly charted by application in a selection guide shown in Section 206 of the new PFERD Catalog. Here, all construction materials are listed including terra cotta, cinder blocks, asphalt, concrete stone, concrete roof tiles and pipe, slate, granite, clay and clinker bricks, exposed aggregate concrete, marble and glazed ceramic tiles. Other guides also show recommended wheel by specification number and the recommended power tool speed setting.

All PFERD diamond cut-off wheels are Flat (Type 1). They are available in both continuous edge and segmented edge styles and in diameters from 4 1/2" to 16", thicknesses from .060" to .125" and in three bore sizes, 5/8, 7/8" and 1". Segmented edge wheels have different segment heights and widths depending on the wheel's diameter.
