High Resolution Analog Output Encoder for Harsh Environments

Newbury Park, California, March 6, 2008 - Micronor's new ENA361M (hollow shaft) and ESA361M (solid shaft) series High Resolution Analog Output Encoders provide 12-bit resolution with choice of analog output - ideal for high reliability and high precision industrial automation and process control applications. The units are extremely rugged with high levels of shock (>500g) and vibration (>30g) resistance. The products can be used in outdoor applications over wide temperature ranges and fluctuations (-40/+85C) and protected against humidity and condensation. Standard units are IP67 sealed with IP69K option available for use in high temperature/high pressure wash down applications.

These single-turn absolute encoders are offered with choice of 4-20mA or 0-10V output and measuring range options of 45, 90, 180 or 360 degrees. These units also operate over a wide input power range of 18-30 VDC. The 4-20mA option includes a red LED fault indicator for sensor break detection and monitoring of power supply.

With an overall diameter of 36mm, these encoders are very compact and are ideal where space is tight. The ENA361 series offers blind hollow shaft in range of 6 to 10mm along with either stator coupling or torque stop mounting options. The ESA361 series offers solid shaft in range of 6 to 8mm along with standard synchro flange mounting.

Unit price is $285-$415 (depending on options) in OEM quantities of 100 pieces with typical 3-4 week delivery.
