Machine Vision Camera features 2.01 megapixel CCD.

March 11, 2008 - Utilizing 1/1.8-type progressive scan CCD, monochrome Model CS3970CL captures full-frame 1,628 x 1,236 images at up to 15 fps for detailed inspection of fast-moving objects. Camera includes random trigger shutter and multiple shutter, minimum subject illumination of 2 lux, internal sync, and C-Mount connection. Because it is based on Camera Link interface, only 2 connections are needed to link CS3970CL to multitude of compatible frame grabbers.

High-Resolution Images, Easy Connectivity Are Highlights of 2.0 Megapixel Monochrome Machine Vision Camera

IRVINE, CA, February 28, 2008 -- Bringing together the advantages of a high-speed, high resolution 2.01 Megapixel CCD with the simplicity of the Camera Link digital video interface, the CS3970CL camera from Toshiba Teli is a smart, cost-effective choice for OEM industrial vision applications, such as precision gauging, alignment, character reading, and fine-defect inspection on very small parts.

Utilizing a 1/1.8-type progressive scan CCD, the CS3970CL captures full-frame, 1628 x 1236 (UXGA) images at up to 15 frames per second (FPS) for highly detailed inspection of fast-moving objects. Frame rates are increased in the camera's optional Partial Scan (30 FPS) and High-Speed Draft Modes (48 FPS). CCD pixels are arrayed in precise square grids (4.4 x4.4µm) that are conducive to faster, more accurate computation of image processing.

The CS3970CL's form factor is remarkably compact (54mm x 43mm x 59mm) making it easy for system integrators to install in confined spaces. Moreover, because the camera is based on the industry standard Camera Link interface, only two connections are needed to link the CS3970CL to a multitude of compatible frame grabbers. Standardization reduces cost of installation, minimizes the number of required cables, and improves data rate speeds.

Other key features of the CS3970CL include random trigger shutter and multiple shutter, minimum subject illumination of 2 lux, internal sync, and C-Mount connection for use with standard lenses.
