ZWX series of open-frame AC-DC power supplies provides 5 voltages needed for high-end industrial computers, including +3.3, +5, +12, and -12 and +5 V (standby), and are 1U rack/enclosure-mountable. Featuring convection-cooled power ratings of 90, 120, and 150 W, low-profile ATX computer power supplies operate with input range of 85-265 Vac in temperatures from -10 to +70°C. They include active PFC, logic level on/off control, and overcurrent and overvoltage protection.
San Diego, CA (Feb. 25, 2008): Lambda has launched a new range of industrial low-profile ATX computer power supplies. The new ZWX-series are open frame AC-DC power supplies designed for server and industrial computer applications. These supplies provide the five voltages needed for today's high-end industrial computers including +3.3V, +5V, +12V, -12V and +5V (standby) and are 1U rack/enclosure mountable. The ZWX300 includes a sixth output (a second +12V) to support extra drives, memory, fans, etc.
The ZWX supplies are ideal for applications where convection cooling is preferred, yet can provide higher power when fan cooling is desired. The convection-cooled power ratings are 90W, 120W and 150W. With forced air cooling (30 cfm) these ratings jump to 153W, 204W and 255W respectively and peak power ratings add from 30 to 40-watts to these figures.
Standard features include active PFC (power factor correction), logic level On/Off control, 80% and higher efficiencies, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, remote-sense on the +3.3V output, and no minimum loads required. They operate with a wide input range of 85-265VAC and in temperatures ranging from -10°C to +70°C (with appropriate derating).
Three package sizes are available depending on the output wattage and range from 3.7(W) x 1.42(H) x 8.27(L) inches, up to 4.65(W) x 1.42(H) x 9.84(L) inches. Compliances include UL/CSA/EN60950-1 & EN50178 (OV II), CE Mark, EN55011/EN55022-B, FCC Class B, VCCI-B EMI (conducted and radiated), EN61000-X immunity and RoHS-compliant.
