Sunrise Telecom® Introduces the GTT, a Home Network Triple Play Readiness Assessment Testing System

First test set to include Predictive Next Step Logic for faster, more effective testing.

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 27 -- Sunrise Telecom(R) Incorporated (Pink Sheets: SRTI), a leader in test and measurement solutions for today's telecom, wireless and cable networks, announced the GTT, an all-in-one portable handheld test set designed to speed accurate verification of home networks for triple play deployments. For the first time, field technicians can rely on one, compact test set for virtually every home network testing requirements including Ethernet, WiFi, HomePNA and home wiring. By eliminating the need for multiple, single-purpose test sets and ensuring that comprehensive installation and maintenance testing can be completed in a single trip, GTT meets both the demanding test requirements of Next-generation Networks (NGN) and service providers' need to reduce capital expenditures. The new GTT will debut at CeBit in Sunrise Telecom Hall 13, Booth C43, March 4 - 9, 2008.

"What many do not realize is that home networking problems are a significant headache for service providers when turning up IP-based services, especially Video over IP," said Bahaa Moukadam, vice president of marketing for Sunrise Telecom's Telecom Products Group. "The GTT is the right product, delivered at the right time, to address the urgent need of increasing installation technicians' efficiency, and reducing the time required to turn up next-generation services."

The GTT is the industry's only home network testing product to include Predictive Next Step Logic, making it ideal for both trained technicians seeking in-depth analysis and less skilled users who can rely on step-by-step instructions to guide them through the troubleshooting process. The intuitive menu and simple to follow automatic "go-no-go" test routines reduce technician training time, increase effectiveness and expedite precise installations.

The lightweight, feature-rich GTT verifies networks, tests wiring and cables, validates connectivity, tests WiFi signal strength and generates reports detailing the results of each installation, which can be uploaded for future analysis. The ground-breaking GTT includes:

-- Home Wiring Testing -- identifies shorts, grounds and cable terminations, checks cable loss, verifies POTS voltage and places calls

-- HomePNA Analysis -- validates HomePNA copper and coaxial connectivity and performance for the entire HPNA network by measuring Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), throughput and packet loss

-- WiFi -- verifies signal strength, channel conflicts and provides a list of available channels

-- Ethernet Verification -- provides link status and speed to ensure connectivity

The GTT test system will be available at the end of March 2008 from Sunrise Telecom. For sales information contact the company at info@sunrisetelecom.com.
