Load Cell Amplifier: Can Now Be Provided Lead Free per RoHS

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce that our popular CSG110 Inline Signal Conditioner/Amplifier can now be provided lead free per RoHS directive's requirements. The CSG110 Signal Conditioner/Amplifier is FUTEK's solution for in-line amplifier of any full bridge strain gauge type sensor with mV/V range output to provide VDC and/or 4-20mA signal with built-in regulated bridge excitation source.

FUTEK has been working hard in the past year to eliminate any remaining banned substances from our products and has appointed a study committee to provide direction to implement a totally lead-free production line. This includes our internal processes as well as our subcontractors and suppliers. FUTEK's product line currently meets the RoHS directive requirements as all the products manufactured by FUTEK clearly fall under categories (8) Medical Devices or (9) Monitoring and Control Instruments as defined in Article 2, paragraph 1 of the RoHS Directive and Annex 1A of the WEEE Directive.

The CSG110 Signal Conditioner/Amplifier has a plastic housing with mating DB9 female connector for power output side and DB9 Male connector for sensor side offering a wide range power supply at 12 to 24 VDC. This instrument is Din Rail mountable and provides a building block approach to monitoring many important applications. The signal conditioner accepts inputs from a transducer to measure stress, vibration, and response time which are then converted to standard current signal. Continuous monitoring of the customer application may be achieved by connecting the output to an analog input module (PLCs or DCs).

The key features of this product include:

o Integrated shunt
o Fast response time - 1 KHz
o Can be modified to give you 10 - 10000 Hz response
o Short circuit protection
o Reverse polarity jumpers
o Bipolar output
