Emuge Introduces Innovative Micro Machining End Mills

WEST BOYLSTON, MA U.S.A. (February 19, 2008) - Today, Emuge Corp. announced the introduction of their new Solid Carbide Micro End Mills that are specially designed to meet the unique and demanding requirements of micro machining applications. An innovative, geometrically optimized cutting edge combined with a slim, concave, tapered neck provide flexible, high-performance milling solutions in a wide variety of materials from 66 Rc hardened steel to graphite.

The tools are offered in cutting diameters from .2mm (.008") to 2mm (.080"), with effective cutting length-to-diameter ratios of 2.2:1, 5:1 and 10:1.

"These tools represent a comprehensive and broad reaching program, utilizing the latest developments in tool design, carbide selection and coating technology to provide systems solutions for the expanding field of micro machining," said Mr. Stephen Jean, Milling Products Manager at Emuge Corp.

Emuge Micro tools are ideal for milling injection molds and extrusion dies, or graphite and copper electrodes. They are also well suited for high-precision surface structuring of macroscopic components as well as micro-mechanical parts production.

The extensive line of Emuge Micro End Mills include ball nose, torus and flat end styles and are available in different 24 designs, uncoated or with TiAlN coating - 300 new items in total. For added versatility, these tools are suitable for diamond coating, which is available upon request.

Micro Ends Mills join a comprehensive line of solid carbide tools that are precision-manufactured for optimum performance, durability and tool life. The expanded end mill line reflects the expertise and manufacturing techniques developed over 90 years of application research and continuous product enhancement.
