Streamlight® Super-Tac(TM) Delivers Super Bright LED Performance
New Model Leverages C4(TM) LED Technology for Extreme Brightness and Long-Range Illumination
EAGLEVILLE, PA. - February 19, 2008 -Streamlight® has introduced its brightest LED flashlight ever - the Super-Tac(TM). The new light is a powerful, versatile new tool for professional users, particularly when operating in low-light situations.
With the Super-Tac, Streamlight debuts new C4 LED technology that is three time brighter than standard LEDs and delivers up to 135 lumens of intense white light for up to 3.5 hours. When combined with Streamlight's proprietary deep-dish parabolic reflector optics, the Super-Tac delivers a superior long-range targeting beam, with ample peripheral illumination for navigation.
"The Super-Tac significantly extends the long-range illumination capabilities of the LED flashlight far beyond what has previously been available," said Streamlight Chief Operating Officer Ray Sharrah. "This gives professional users, including industrial technicians, first responders, utility workers, mechanics and others an incredibly bright tool for situations where there is little or no natural light, such as when working underground, deep under a vehicle hood or navigating a dark, smoky fire scene."
Machined from aircraft aluminum with a durable black anodized finish, the Super-Tac offers one-handed operation with a tail-cap push button switch that offers a choice of momentary or constant "on" modes, or a lock-out "safe" mode for travel or storage. The light is powered by two 3-Volt CR123A Lithium batteries.
The 50,000 hour lifetime rated C4 LED is also shockproof, and the flashlight contains an unbreakable, scratch-resistant coated polycarbonate lens. A holster is included for easy attachment to a belt.
The Super-Tac features an IPX7 Rated design that is fully O-ring sealed to resist moisture intrusion. It weighs 7.1-ounces, measures 6.62-inches in length and is backed by the Streamlight limited lifetime warranty. Suggested retail price is $119.95.
