Powers Unveils Power-Stud+SD2 Anchor with More Holding Power

Carbon Steel Bolt with Stainless Steel Clip Meets New IBC Requirements for Strength Design (Cracked Concrete):

Powers Fasteners, Inc. - the leading manufacturer of concrete anchoring systems - has introduced the Power-Stud(TM)+SD2 carbon steel bolt as one of the industry's first mechanical anchors to meet the new more stringent International Building Code (IBC).

The Power-Stud+SD2 is a one-piece fully threaded, wedge anchor that is designed for concrete and other masonry applications. Because of its new one-piece stainless steel clip design, the anchor has more holding power than the company's existing Power-Stud. The bolt is available in 3/8" diameters (3", 3¾" and 5" lengths); ½" diameters (3¾", 4½", 5½", 7" and 8½" lengths); 5/8" diameters (4¾", 5", 6" 7" and 8½" lengths); and ¾" diameters (5½", 6¼" 7" and 8½" lengths).

With world headquarters in Brewster, N.Y., Powers also offers an extensive line of adhesive anchoring systems, roofing fasteners, gas and Powder actuated tools and fasteners, carbide drill bits and mechanical anchoring systems. Powers has been serving professional construction and plant maintenance markets since 1921. The company has manufacturing facilities in Michigan and Brewster, along with 28 regional sales locations throughout the United States.
