Symon Introduces Digital Signage Solution in a Box
High-Definition Media Players Pre-loaded with Software Tools for Quick Installation and Minimal I / T Involvement
PLANO, Texas, Feb. 25 -- Symon Communications, a global provider of digital signage solutions announced today the availability of a new media player called the Symon Integrated Appliance (SIA). The SIA is designed as an entry level digital signage solution. It is a multimedia device that is pre-loaded with all required Symon software for easy deployment and direct playback as a complete system. It delivers rich media to any size flat panel display.
LobbyView is another new bundled product from Symon with an integrated LCD monitor, media player and Symon digital software packaged as an all-in-one digital signage solution. It is a specialized Symon digital signage system with a combination 42" LCD monitor (Symon LCD630-42), and a built-in Symon Integrated Appliance (SIA) media player.
"The SIA is intended to be an easy-to-implement alternative for those companies seeking a simple digital media solution," said Charles Ansley, president and CEO of Symon. "The SIA and LobbyView are ideal for smaller businesses looking to implement digital signage or for any business that is trying to fulfill a need for digital signage in a building or area that is remote from their main digital signage installation. We have never made it so easy to take advantage of new features and full high-definition quality built into Symon's new product line."
Both offerings include pre-loaded software licenses for Symon Enterprise Software (SES), one copy of Symon Design Studio (content management and data control software), and Symon Digital Appliance (SDA) media player software. The Design Studio software is easily downloaded to a PC desktop via the SIA Web configuration page. The SIA is designed for minimum I / T involvement and to be a simple plug-n-play operation.
Additional copies of Design Studio as well as SDA media players can be added. As with other Symon media player implementations, one SDA provides content to one or many flat panel displays delivering the same channel. The SIA and LobbyView are delivered with Design Studio standard layouts and several additional "skins" to help the customer build their own custom shows.
Symon offers a Pro-Media Package for those customers who may not have the resources or who do not want to create their own custom shows. Symon's on-staff graphic artists will create a complete custom show preloaded on the SIA and ready to display on day one. Supplemental content is also available with Symon's OnTarget news, weather, and sports information.
Symon LobbyView is an all-inclusive video communications package for businesses of all sizes, making it easier than ever to create, schedule, manage, and broadcast messages and video to a large flat-panel LCD display.
