Sun, Salt and Grime Meet Their Match: New Marine Shield System Protects Boats from Bow to Stern

Marine Shield Professional Marine Finishing System Allows Boaters to Protect their Investment and their Passion

MERRIMACK, N.H. and MIAMI, Feb. 14 -- Miami International Boat Show -- Raymarine, Inc., a world leader in marine electronics, today introduced the Marine Shield Professional Marine Finishing System, a high- performance line of cleaners, sealants and compounds that are uniquely formulated to effectively clean, restore and protect boats. Designed for maximum results with minimum effort, the Marine Shield System consists of five products that together comprise a complete care system for any recreational boat owner.

"We know our customers are deeply invested in their boats, financially and emotionally, and that the effort to keep them in top shape is a constant challenge," said Dave Bimschleger, president of Raymarine, Inc. "The Marine Shield line offers boaters a fast and effective way to protect and restore a boat's exterior and electronics, allowing boat owners to spend less time maintaining its appearance and more time enjoying the water."

The damage caused by salt, grime and ultra-violet exposure frustrates many boat owners. With so many choices among marine soaps, cleaners and wax products available today, Marine Shield knows that selecting the right ones can be confusing, often resulting in a costly and time-consuming trial and error cycle. The Marine Shield Professional Finishing System, however, provides everything a boater needs. Five highly effective, yet easy-to-use, products are all that's required to keep a boat looking like new:

-- A Marine Sealant that provides a defensive shield against the harmful effects of salt water, acid rain and ultra-violet rays;
-- A Restoration Compound that quickly removes scratches, heavy swirls and oxidation from gel coats and painted surfaces;
-- A Concentrated Boat Wash that provides an economical option for keeping any vessel gleaming;
-- A Heavy Duty Cleaner that tackles the toughest of stains, removing grease, black streaks and salt spray;
-- And a Marine Electronics Screen Cleaner that keeps navigational and other displays looking great without using harmful abrasives or cleaning agents.

The Marine Shield Marine Electronics Screen Cleaner was specifically designed to clean today's high-powered displays and is the only cleaner tested and approved for Raymarine displays. In addition, all of the Marine Shield products are recognized as being environmentally friendly.

"As a professional angler, I compete in tournaments all across the country, exposing my boat to many different types of water," said professional fisherman Mark Gwizdala. "From the Great Lakes to the hard water Western Reservoirs, it's constantly a challenge to keep my vessel looking good. Whether I'm cleaning my hull or polishing my motors, Raymarine's Marine Shield product line has kept my rig looking great under all conditions. It's so good, in fact, that I've also used it on my tow vehicle and fiberglass topper."

Marine Shield will be showing its full line of products at booth #1809 during the Miami International Boat Show, February 14-18.
