Battery-powered, 4 in. unit incorporates 3 ips print mechanism and wireless capabilities for serial, IrDA, Bluetooth(TM), and 802.11b communication. This four inch ultra-lightweight thermal printer features state-of-the art high-speed wireless capabilities for serial, IrDA, Bluetooth(TM) and 802.11b communication, and is ideal for the rigors of mobile computing in Direct Store Delivery applications.
Designed for the mobilization of the route accounting workforce, the S4500THS is intended to maximize order placement and customer service at the point of delivery. The unit is durable and battery-powered, and the ease-of-use helps facilitate transactional activities along the supply chain and direct store delivery process. Common applications include the prevention of delivery and ordering errors as well as providing proof of delivery for workforces seeking to sell, deliver, and service mobile inventories.
The S4500THS's newly designed print mechanism features a rated speed of three inches per second. A rechargeable lithium ion battery enables portable use and delivers 2.2 amps of power for more receipts per charge. The printer's new housing, developed from the IEC 68 certified mechanical design used in Extech's two inch and three inch printers, includes an additional elastomer over-molding for extra protection.
Extech's S4500THS boasts a new 32-bit Arm 7 micro-controller, and a flash-based, highly integrated CPU that comes fully packaged with completely new firmware. Additionally, the printer offers resident fonts, rotated and downloadable fonts, graphics, logos and bar codes. The S4500THS incorporates 2MB FLASH memory and 1.2MB SRAM memory and provides for maximum performance in any environment.
Serial and IrDA communications come standard in addition to Bluetooth or 802.11b integrated options. Other options include a 3-track magnetic card reader and smart card reader. In-field programming is possible using a high-speed connector located below the battery. The printer comes with a 12-month warranty on all parts including print head.
