TietoEnator, One of the World's Largest Suppliers of Signaling Solutions for Telecom Networks, Launches a New Gateway Platform
STOCKHOLM, February 7 -- TietoEnator launches a modularized Signaling Solution at the 2008 Mobile World Congress (former 3GSM World Congress) 11-14 February in Barcelona, Spain.
The Gateway Platform from TietoEnator is a hardware and software turnkey platform solution for building signaling and/or media gateways. It allows fast and effective development of customer specific gateway solutions with carrier grade characteristics enabling inter-working between various types of telecom networks and nodes.
TietoEnator Gateway Platform allows rapid adaptation and development of customer specific gateway functionality. The Gateway Platform is built on a modularized architectural framework including both software and hardware components.
In a normal customer adaptation case, only the actual Gateway application has to be developed; all other parts are already available in the framework. The Gateway Platform executes in a closed environment which means that signaling capacity and availability can be guaranteed.
Anna Brodd, Manager Product Operations, TietoEnator Telecom & Media, said: "Combining our Signaling Solutions and expertise, we are one of the leading players in the market. Based on the new, modularized product, we can offer our customers extremely cost-efficient solutions."
The main benefits with the Gateway Platform from TietoEnator are:
- Short time to market - by pre-integrated components
- Lower development costs - by using platform framework
- Reduced risks - by limited development needed
- High availability, high capacity and scalability - modularized HW/SW framework, carrier grade platform
Jorgen Trank, Product Manager in TietoEnator Telecom & Media, said: "Next Generation Networks and All IP networks put heavy demands on cost efficiency, reuse of legacy equipment investments and integration of different supplier's components. Gateways will play a very important role in enabling efficient inter-working within future telecom networks."
The new signalling products are launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona at 5.00 pm CET, 12 February, Hall 2, stand 2B13 (ground floor).
