Cummins Power Generation Introduces New Series of Generator Sets

January 17, 2008 - Cummins Power Generation Inc. has today announced the launch of a new line of generator sets rated 30 to 38kVA at 50 Hz and 27 to 35 kW at 60 Hz.

The new generator sets provide an economical and reliable power solution to a variety of prime and standby applications for small businesses and the telecommunications market. It joins an already impressive stable of power solutions offered by Cummins Power Generation, a leader in the diesel generator set market for the last 80 years, and is a major advancement to currently available products. In fact its unique features and benefits make it one of the best small generator options in the market today.

The generator set and all major components like the engine, alternator, control, fuel tank and enclosure are designed and built by Cummins Power Generation. They all meet stringent international standards resulting in exceptional power delivery and durability.

Tony Satterthwaite, Vice President, Worldwide Genset Business says, "Cummins Power Generation is a global leader in providing reliable power around the world. We have been a major player in the large generator set market, offering complete power solutions and services to several industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, finance and healthcare. The launch of the new 30 to 38 kVA product line will bring Cummins technology and innovation to the small businesses and mobile telecommunications sector."

The generator sets come with market leading PowerCommand 1.1 digital control as standard, providing total system integration and proven reliability in generator set monitoring, control and protection. An intuitive operator interface panel, integrated control functionality and advanced overcurrent protection are key benefits.

Another significant feature is the Cummins Excitation Boost System (EBS). This provides one horsepower per kilowatt motor starting capability and exceptional short circuit fault clearing ability allowing uninterrupted power supply.

Sound attenuated enclosures provide best in class quiet operation at 75 dB(A) at one meter meeting stringent EU noise regulations (2004/14/EC). The enclosures feature convenient access doors for the engine and alternator service points. Fork lift pockets on the skid base and built-in single-point lifting bracket to simplify installation at the job site.

Excellent fuel economy coupled with lowest maintenance cost and parts replacement makes it the most cost-effective small generator set in the market. Featuring oil change intervals of 500 hours significantly reduces maintenance expense. The in-built fuel tank provides customers with excellent fuel autonomy.

It is supported by a comprehensive warranty on services and parts, and is available through Cummins Power Generation's worldwide distributor network, available in over 160 countries.
