Herbicides offer options for weed control needs.

February 1, 2008 - Resolve® Q provides control of weeds including morningglory, lambsquarter, and velvetleaf while Require(TM) Q offers control of weeds that are resistant to glyphosate and/or ALS chemistries. Both herbicides feature DuPont(TM) Q brand safener technology, which allows corn growers to apply them under diverse weather conditions, across hybrids, and with wide range of adjuvants. They were designed to provide contact plus residual control of grass and weeds in glyphosate-tolerant corn program.

New DuPont(TM) Resolve® Q and Require(TM) Q Corn Herbicides Deliver More Options for Changing Weed Control Needs

WILMINGTON, Del., Jan. 23 / / -- DuPont (NYSE:DD) has received federal registration approval from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for two corn herbicides: Resolve(R) Q (mp) and Require(TM) Q (mp).

Both new herbicides feature DuPont(TM) Q brand safener technology, which provides corn growers with the flexibility to confidently apply the new herbicides under more diverse weather conditions, across more hybrids and with a wider range of adjuvants.

DuPont(TM) Resolve(R) Q and Require(TM) Q herbicides were designed to provide contact plus residual control of tough grass and broadleaf weeds in a glyphosate-tolerant corn program. Resolve(R) Q provides excellent control of many weeds that glyphosate alone struggles with, including morningglory, lambsquarter and velvetleaf. Require(TM) Q features multiple modes of action to provide control of tough weeds that are resistant to glyphosate and/or ALS chemistries.

"Resolve(R) Q and Require(TM) Q herbicides offer advanced weed control for today's toughest weed challenges, including sound management of glyphosate- resistant and/or tolerant weeds," said James C. Collins, Jr., vice president and general manager -- DuPont Crop Protection. "The introduction of these two new herbicides is another example of how DuPont is harnessing its patented, homogeneous blend technology to provide growers with answers to shifting weed control problems faster than ever before."

According to Collins, the introduction of DuPont(TM) Resolve(R) Q and Require(TM) Q follows the introduction of two new herbicide blends in soybeans, Enlite(TM) and Envive(TM); as well as a new wheat herbicide, Agility(TM). "These are all examples of how DuPont is delivering on its promise to renew its product portfolio with herbicides that meet the needs of growers today and in the future," he said.
