Dust Collector Controller enables reliable pulse cleaning.

January 30, 2008 - FDC Controller provides pulse cleaning control for all types of cartridge and baghouse dust collection systems. Using factory-programmed or customer-selected settings, unit monitors pressure differential across filters to promote efficient pulse cleaning via compressed air energy usage reduction and filter life extension. Pulse cleaning switch on NEMA 4X water- and chemical-proof box lets user turn pulsing off, pulse continuously based on pre-determined settings, or clean on demand.

New Dust Collector Controller Ensures User-Friendly, Reliable Pulse Cleaning

Jonesboro, Ark., January 2008 - Farr Air Pollution Control (APC) has introduced a new "FDC Controller" that provides user-friendly and reliable pulse cleaning control for all types of cartridge and baghouse dust collection systems. Using factory-programmed or customer-selected settings, the unit monitors pressure differential across the filters to ensure more efficient pulse cleaning, reducing compressed air energy usage and extending filter life.

The FDC Controller is easily operated thanks to clear, permanent instructions posted on the NEMA 4X water- and chemical-proof box. A pulse cleaning switch on the front of the box allows the user to turn pulsing off, to pulse continuously based on pre-determined settings, or to clean "on demand" when the high pressure setting is reached and a dirty filter alarm sounds.

The user can program the controller settings using a simple five-step intuitive procedure that is self-taught in less than a minute. The control board inside the unit includes 10 solenoid outputs to interface with the dust collection system, plus an additional 10 outputs on a lower expander board. Power requirements are 110/220 V, 50/60 Hz, 1-phase. The FDC Controller is UL listed.
