Precision Centers machine small and mid-size parts.
January 24, 2008 -
For stability and accuracy, Models YBM7T and YBM8T use twin ball screws and hybrid box type guide ways, positioned on either side of spindle head of Y-axis. Centers include self-adjusting system that provides large preload during low speeds for heavy cutting, and adjusts preload according to heat generated by higher speed spindle. Diaphragm coupling, co-axially connecting spindle cartridge and motor, results in accurate rotation of spindle at full rotation speed.
New YBM7T And YBM8T Precision Centers From Yasda are Built for Unparalleled Speed, Accuracy, and Rigidity
Elk Grove Village, IL - (January 22, 2008) The YBM7T and YBM8T, Yasda's newest additions to their YBM Series of Precision Centers, are constructed for optimum accuracy and speed in small and mid-size parts and die/mold machining.
The unique use of twin ball screws and hybrid box type guide ways, positioned on either side of the spindle head of the YBM7T and YBM8T's Y-axis, results in exceptional stability and accuracy. With the YBM7T and YBM8T, high rigidity and high damping performance against machining force are achieved during high speed machining in X/Y/Z axis. Furthermore, Yasda's own spindle bearing preload self-adjusting system provides a large preload during low speeds for heavy cutting, and adjusts the preload according to the heat generated by the higher speed spindle. A diaphragm coupling, co-axially connecting the spindle cartridge and motor, results in highly accurate rotation of the spindle at full rotation speed.
To support the high-speed performance of the YBM7T, Yasda has incorporated scissors type pallet forks that quickly rotate on a direct turn system. This design also reduces the machine's floor space requirements.
To minimize thermal affect and energy consumption, Yasda has employed an inverter control system for the heat exchanger and hydraulic unit. Yasda's Thermal Distortion Stabilizing System and Coolant Temperature Control System are available as options to further minimize internal and external thermal distortion of machine structure and maximize precision.
Yasda's MiPS, an advanced version of their original and well-reputed Yasda MASCOT mini machine control system, further adds to the YBM7T and YBM8T's capability.
