Ultra Miniature IEPE Accelerometer Weighing 0.2 Grams

Dytran Instruments Inc. has just introduced an ultra miniature IEPE accelerometer with titanium housing. Weighing in at just 0.2 grams, this miniature accelerometer successfully reduces mass loading effects. Because of its tiny "teardrop" design, the 3224A2 is ideal for vibration measurements in even the smallest locations.

Model 3224A2 is laser welded in a titanium housing which ensures its robust construction and contributes to its lightweight. The model 3224A2 is available with a sensitivity of 2mV/g and can operate at temperatures up to 300°F. It features integrated electronics, an adhesive mount and a planar shear, quartz design which reduces base strain sensitivity, thermal transient response and thermal coefficient of sensitivity.

This ultra miniature teardrop accelerometer is ideal for the following applications: Environmental Stress Screening, PC board vibration measurements, product response, general purpose vibration where space is at a premium, and mechanical shock.

Priced at $600.
