Release date: January 18, 2008

Madison Company Introduces Madisonic(TM) Short-Range Ultrasonic Level Sensor

Madison Company developed the new Madisonic U4359 ultrasonic sensor specifically for continuous level measurement in small tanks. With a range of 4" to 70" (0.1m to 1.78m), it is ideal for day tanks and drums in process lines, small tanks for industrial liquids and certain solids, and food and beverage applications.

The compact Madisonic includes a simple green/red LED for operation display indication and is designed for easy installation and operation. Its polycarbonate housing is very rigid and is NEMA 4X (IP65) rated. The Madisonic's accuracy of +/- 0.25% of full span at ambient temperature and pressure ensures reliable sensing for continuous monitoring of critical liquids.

This competitively priced sensor incorporates a 10 degree beam angle, supply voltage of 12 to 28 VDC, and 3/4" NPT mounting, allowing it to accommodate many applications without alterations. Its 4-20 mA and 0-5 volt industry-standard outputs may be used individually or at the same time. Appropriate interfacing process controllers or indicators are available from Madison as well.

For complete technical data and application information on the Madisonic U4359, please contact Madison Company by phone at 800-466-5383, by fax at 203-481-5036 or by email at info@madisonco.com. This sensor is also featured on the company's website: www.madisonco.com.
