Ricoh Introduces GX3000S/GX3000SF/GX3050SFN Series
First Time GelSprinter(TM) Technology Available in Multifunction Products
WEST CALDWELL, N.J., Jan. 14 / / -- Ricoh Americas Corporation, the leading provider of digital office equipment, today launched the Ricoh GX3000S, GX3000SF and the GX3050SFN desktop color multifunction products (MFPs). The first MFPs to utilize the GelSprinter(TM) technology, this new line combines the quality and performance of laser printing with the convenience of an inkjet and the vivid color customers have come to expect from GelSprinter products.
Designed to meet the end user's document management needs, the new series incorporates color copying, printing and scanning into a compact system. Scanning is standard on all models, while embedded network connectivity is standard only on the GX3050SFN. At 29 pages-per-minute (ppm) for both color and black & white, users can print and copy jobs quickly. As with all GelSprinter products, images are crisp and bold using pigment-based inks that are waterproof and sun-resistant, making it ideal for real estate marketing materials, student handouts, construction plans as well as a variety of business documents.
An ideal fit for small-to-medium offices, organizations benefit from the low total cost of ownership with features such as the Level Color Mode, which reduces ink density up to 35 percent for graphics and images without affecting the text's readability. This mode makes color cost-per-page the same or less than black & white. To add further value, the GX3000S/GX3000SF/GX3050SFN series delivers superior quality on normal copy paper. In addition, the viscous-ink cartridges used in these MFPs offer higher yields than other dye- based ink cartridges to reduce cost-per-page, and the printhead never needs to be replaced.
The GX3000S/GX3000SF/GX3050SFN series makes managing and distributing documents quick and easy with user-friendly features such as the optional 100- Sheet Multi-Bypass Tray, which handles a wide range of paper stocks and sizes. In addition, errors are quickly and efficiently resolved via Ricoh's @Remote monitoring function. The @Remote system proactively sends e-mail notices to administrators when supplies are running low to minimize wait time.
The GX3000S/GX3000SF/GX3050SFN series meets Energy Star guidelines without compromising productivity by providing energy and supply-saving features including power saving sleep modes, duplex and combine copy modes and minimal ozone emissions.
The GX3000S is available at a suggested retail price of $549.00 and the GX3000SF and GX3050SFN, which includes fax and scan, are available for $699.00 and $849.00, respectively.
