Incase Launches Its First Hard Case Solutions

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 14 / / -- Incase, the world's leading provider of protective cases for Apple(R) products, today introduced its first hard case solutions for MacBook(R), MacBook Pro, iPhone(TM) and iPod(R) touch. Available in an array of color ways and rubberized, soft-touch matte and high gloss options, our new line of innovative, durable hard case products will be available at retail in February 2008.

Research and Design

Since the brand's inception in 1997, Incase has led the industry in soft construction protective carrying cases and is now expanding the line to include hard case goods. "The core background of our designers is in hard case construction," explains Incase Design Director Markus Diebel. "We saw an opportunity to offer better hard cases for Apple products than what is currently on the market; to do so we're using our expertise in industrial design and research-driven product development to create the best hard cases available. From soft cases to hybrids to this introduction of full-fledged hard cases, we've grown our product offerings organically as we've researched and developed the right composite materials. Our goal is to always deliver our customers cutting-edge design and superior protection."

Hardshell Case

Available for MacBook and MacBook Pro 15" and 17" in four translucent, frosted soft-touch coated colors-Black, White, Plum and Red, the Hardshell Case features precise notebook port cutouts, allowing for easy-access to all control features (magnetic power cable, headphone and microphone inputs, CD ROM drive, battery level check button and peripheral connections). The Hardshell Case's rubber feet elevate the notebook, exposing the bottom cover's thermal vents to circulate air and dispense heat more freely.

SRP: $49.95

Slider Case

Available for iPhone and iPod touch, the Slider Case offers internal rubber guardrails for optimum impact and scratch-resistance and external cutouts for all control features (headphone jack, hold switch, dock connector, camera lens, speaker and microphone openings). The case's bottom portion slides away to accommodate charging in dock. Choose between the black or white high gloss finish, offering a unique UV coating for added scratch-resistance and longstanding luster.
