Analog Sensor/Transducer Meter integrates I/O diagnostics.

January 16, 2008 - Able to fit into standard 1/8 DIN cutout, TDRO-10 measures 3.78 x 1.89 x 1.0 in. and has 6-digit LED display with ½ in. numbers. Refresh rate is 6 msec, and push-button diagnostics determine programming/power supply problems. Designed for sensor inputs of 0-10 V or 4-20 mA with over-voltage protection, meter comes in versions that provide one 16-bit analog output, 2 or 4 programmable PNP digital outputs, and read-only with no digital output. All outputs are scalable.

First Analog Transducer/Meter

4-way win - analog transducer/sensor meters offer smallest size, industry-first diagnostics, simple programming, plus low cost

TDRO-10 meter features two-button English programming, fast 67 msec. update, integrated input and output diagnostics, 100% adjustment of analog output or digital zero and span

January 2008 - Transducers Direct creates a double breakthrough - industry's smallest programmable meter for analog sensors/transducers with first-ever integrated diagnostics for both input and output. U.S. made, the TDRO-10 meter features simple two-button English programming and fast 67 msec. update rate. It measures just 3.78" wide x 1.89" high x 1.0" depth. Only a quarter the size of conventional meters, it fits into a standard 1/8 DIN cutout. The meter provides six-digit LED display with large half-inch numbers and 6-millisecond refresh rate. Push-button diagnostics allow fast determination of programming vs. power supply problems. Quantity prices start under $100, competitive with a DRO or good volt meter. Beside direct sales, units can be supplied private label to large OEMs.

Miniaturization saves space in control systems and gives designers great layout flexibility. Highly compact design makes TDRO-10 meters especially useful for on mobile and off-road equipment dashboards.

Designed for standard sensor inputs of 0-10V or 4-20 mA with over-voltage protection, the meter comes in versions providing one 16-bit analog output, two or four programmable PNP digital outputs with 100% scalable analog retransmission, and read-only with no digital output.

Simple intuitive programming requires no code and shortens startup and trouble-shooting. English prompts step the user through programming sequences. The output can be scaled to match the full 0-10V output of the transducer or only a selected portion. Programming capabilities include 100% adjustable zero and span, selectable number of digits and decimal point location, programmable switch point for each digital output, and 100% adjustable analog output.

Holding down a button converts the meter to pure volt meter readout, enabling easy check of power supply or programming errors of zero point and setpoint. If the meter doesn't show a full 10V, there's a power supply problem. If power supply is OK, then programming is faulty. Similarly, pushing another button displays the actual programmed analog retransmission to determine if there is a programming or wiring/power supply problem. No other meter on the market has such diagnostic capability.

Miniaturization saves space in control systems and gives designers great layout flexibility. Highly compact design makes TDRO-10 meters especially useful for on mobile and off-road equipment dashboards.

A NEMA 4X/IP65 lens cover is available as an option. The clear cover is sealed with neoprene gasket for dust and water protection and can be treated with clear silicone sealant for wash-down and steam-cleaning requirements. Key lock capability prevents unauthorized opening.
