Bridgeport Fittings Introduces Colored Connectors

STRATFORD, Conn., Jan. 9, 2008 - Bridgeport Fittings has introduced colored EMT fittings and couplings to match popular lines of EMT conduit used in varying applications or to fit with a project's décor. The new fittings come in eight colors (silver, red, blue, black, orange, yellow, green and white) that make connections look cleaner and more professional without painting. Bridgeport's patented colorizing method complies with all UL and NEC requirements and allows positive visual inspection of color from either inside or outside the electrical box.

Installers can assign the colored EMT fittings to runs with specific applications: silver for traditional wiring systems; red for emergency circuits and alarms; blue for low voltage electronics; black for dark colored areas or open architecture applications; orange for construction/research, fiber optic or auto repair; yellow for caution areas and high voltage wiring; green for critical circuits or healthcare applications; and white for light colored areas or open architecture applications.

The new colored connectors also come with Bridgeport's traditional product quality, reliability and easy installation features.
