Midwest Snips Introduces KNIFTI-CUT Shop/Electrician Shear and Utility Snip

Sturgis, Michigan, December 10, 2007 -- Midwest Tool And Cutlery Company's new KNIFTI-CUT(TM) Shop/Electrician Shear and Utility Snip is a compact multi-purpose snip that features needle-nose blades that provide ready access to confined areas and a full two-inch cut length. KNIFTI-CUT(TM) is designed for a wide range of applications including: industrial/shop/MRO, electrical/electrician, hobby, tool or tackle box, general construction and home/DIY. Its compact size fits comfortably in the hand making it handy and easy to use. Textured plastisol grips comfort the hand and provide a no-slip grip.

The Made in USA KNIFTI-CUT(TM) (Model No. P657N) can be used: to shear sheet metal, vinyl, plastic, screening, packaging, cardboard, canvas, leather and paper; to snip soft wire, wire mesh, strapping, cable ties, fishing line, poultry and flowers/twigs; to strip coated/insulated wire. The tool's hot drop-forged blades are manufactured of high carbon steel for strength, durability and long lasting cutting edge. Hot-drop forged blades make it tough enough to readily cut sheet metal. Rated cutting capacities are: 26-gauge cold rolled sheet metal; 18-gauge copper wire; 22-gauge soft steel wire.

About Midwest Tool and Cutlery Company

Midwest Tool and Cutlery Company manufactures the Midwest SnipsŪ brand of aviation snips, tinner snips, specialty snips and related hand tools at manufacturing facilities located in Sturgis and Kalkaska, Michigan. The key characteristic of Midwest Tool and Cutlery Company's traditional models of tinner snips and the company's complete line of aviation snips is the hot drop-forging process. Hot drop-forged blades cut better, hold a cutting edge longer and are stronger than the cast or stamped blades used by other manufacturers. The Midwest SnipsŪ product line includes folding and bending tools, cable cutters and other specialty snips and hand tools used in HVAC/R, industrial, construction, siding, roofing, and related trades.
