December 5, 2007 - Designed to help meet NEC 406.8 (B) code requirements for wet locations, Red Dot® Weatherproof While-in-Use Kits come with lockable cover, outlet box, 20 A/125 Vac GFCI receptacle, gasket, plugs, mounting lugs, screws, and sealant. Covers are made of high-impact, UV-resistant polycarbonate or corrosion-resistant, die-cast aluminum. Non-metallic cover can be installed vertically or horizontally, while metallic cover is designed for vertical use only.

Memphis, Tenn. (November 26, 2007) - Thomas & Betts announces a new line of Red Dot®
Weatherproof While-in-Use Kits designed to simplify compliance with NEC® requirements. These all-in-one kits come with a lockable cover, outlet box, 20A/125VAC GFCI receptacle, gasket, plugs, mounting lugs, screws, and sealant-everything required for easy installation.

The new kits make it convenient and cost effective to meet NEC 406.8 (B) code requirements for wet locations. The covers are made of either high-impact, UV-resistant polycarbonate or corrosion-resistant, die-cast aluminum. The non-metallic cover can be installed either vertically or horizontally. The metallic cover is designed for vertical use only.
