Designed for E7 Drive, NEMA 1 plenum-rated Narrow Bypass Package enables mounting in very narrow locations. Unit has touchpad control and offers full range of control, communication, and power options. Measuring 39.5 x 9.5 x 10 in., enclosure is rated 208 V, 3-phase, 1-10 hp and 480 V, 3-phase, 1-20 hp. Package includes inputs for safety interlocks, auto run/stop, BAS/damper, remote transfer, smoke purge, 0-10 Vdc or 4-20 mA speed signal, and RS-422/485 communication port.

Yaskawa Introduces The E7N Narrow Bypass Package
WAUKEGAN, IL - Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. announces the availability of a new NEMA 1 plenum rated narrow bypass package for its popular E7 drive, designed specifically for commercial HVAC applications. This enclosure type allows for ease of mounting in very narrow locations. According to the company, the new bypass package is competitively priced and will be widely available through the company's distribution channels.
The company states, the narrow enclosure is designed with the Touchpad Control and offers a full range of control, communication, and power options. At just 39.5" Long, 9.5" Wide and 10" Deep and with a 10 day lead time, the narrow bypass package offers more standard options than any competitor in the market today. Ratings include:
o 208V, 3 phase, 1 to 10 HP
o 480V, 3 phase, 1 to 20 HP
o Altitude: 3300 ft. without de-rating
o Design and Nameplate with NEC rated motor amps
o Relative Humidity: 95% maximum non-condensing
o Storage temperature: -4°F to +140°F short-term temperature during transportation
o Operating temperature: +14°F to +104°F (@ default carrier Freq)
According to Joe Twohill, Yaskawa Electric America's, Director of Building Automation, "The challenge was to develop a versatile narrow enclosure that meets the space requirements of end users and OEMs, yet has the flexibility to meet the varying requirements of the specifying engineers and applications. The objectives have been achieved with this new enclosure design"
Design features being offered as options include:
o Main Circuit Breaker Disconnect
o Main Fused Disconnect
o Manual Drive Input Service Switch
o 3 Contactor Bypass
o UL 100K AIC Panel Rating
o 3% or 5% Line Impedance
o RFI Filter
o LonWorks Serial Communication
o BACnet Serial Communication
The narrow bypass package features inputs for Safety Interlocks, Auto Run/Stop, BAS/Damper, Remote Transfer, Smoke Purge, 0-10vdc or 4-20ma speed signal and an RS-422/485 communication port. Outputs include two programmable analog, either 0-10vdc or 4-20ma, a Form A Motor Run relay and three programmable Form C relays, all rated at 250V, 1 Amp. Built-in PI maintains set point for closed loop control of fans and pumps for pressure, flow or temperature regulation and eliminates the need for closed loop output BAS signals.
PI includes feedback display, inverse, square root and differential control functions. The narrow bypass package is globally compatible, conforming to CE, UL and CUL requirements.
