JasperSoft and Noetix Launch Business Intelligence Solutions for Oracle E-Business Suite Users
Jasper4Oracle E-Business Suite, Powered by Noetix Now Available
SAN FRANCISCO and REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 8 - JasperSoft Corporation, the market leader in open source business intelligence (BI), and Noetix(R) Corp., a software provider that automatically generates BI content from enterprise applications, today announced the general availability of Jasper4Oracle E-Business Suite, Powered by Noetix. The offering features the JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite (JBIS) and NoetixViews(R), an extensive set of reporting objects (metadata), delivering business views of the underlying Oracle applications database, which together provide Oracle E-Business Suite customers with intuitive and affordable, web-based, ad hoc BI. The solution enables business users to 'drag & drop' familiar business terms for simplified self-service reporting and business intelligence.

The combination of the JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite with NoetixViews delivers unparalleled insight into a customer's mission critical data. NoetixViews automatically discovers the customer-specific setups within the Oracle E-Business Suite, deciphers the maze of data relationships, and joins the proper tables together to create a set of database views. JBIS then dynamically reads the database views and delivers intuitive access to the end user. The result is a transformation of database complexity into recognizable business views of the data that can easily be used by non-technical employees to create custom operational and ad hoc reports with the JBIS.
The joint solution decreases staffing expense and total cost of ownership of BI for the Oracle E-Business Suite. JBIS is significantly more affordable than leading proprietary BI solutions, while providing a more modern, web-based architecture. NoetixViews minimizes the need for in-depth knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite data structure by providing fully documented views that solve specific business problems.
In addition, JasperSoft reports developed directly against Noetix-generated views of the Oracle E-Business Suite do not risk expensive rework when the applications are upgraded. NoetixViews protects reports from these database changes by automatically remapping the new or changed tables to the views to reflect these changes. This feature eliminates the need for expensive report maintenance and simplifies the report migration process.

Includes 180 views covering areas such as balances, budgets, encumbrances, journal entries, invoices, payments, vendors, customers, cash receipts, receivable balances, asset assignments, depreciation detail, and unbooked assets.
- Oracle Order Management
Includes about 40 views covering areas such as orders, pick slips, backlog, drop shipments, and returns.
- Oracle Purchasing
Includes more than 50 views covering purchase orders, on-hold invoices, receipts, approved suppliers, and integration with Payables invoices.
- Oracle Discrete Manufacturing - MRP, Bill of Materials, Work in Process, Costing, and Inventory
Includes more than 120 distinct views plus one view for each item category for Discrete Manufacturing covering forecasts, schedules, sourcing rules, bills, routings, resources, jobs, categories, items, onhand quantities, inventory demand, comparisons, and cost details.
- Oracle Process Manufacturing - Product Development, Process Planning, Process Execution, OPM Financials, and OPM Inventory
Includes 45 views covering formulas, routings, batch details, bucketed material activity, inventory transactions, item cost, item cost rollup, lot genealogy, and quality.
- Oracle Projects - Project Billing, and Project Costing
Includes 50 views that cover all aspects of both external and internal project cost allocation such as projects, resources, tasks, expenditures, revenues, and budgets.
- Oracle HR - Human Resources (including Basic Benefits), Payroll, and Advanced Benefits
Includes 180 views with extensive coverage of default Extra Information Types (EIT) and significant performance enhancements for the standard payroll reports through use of a payroll summarization data mart.
- Oracle Grants - Grants Accounting and Grants Proposal
Includes 30 views covering proposals, multi-funded projects, awards management, funds control, costing, and billing.
- Extensions - Application Object Library, and Financials Interface Tables
These views are designed to reveal how an Oracle Applications instance is configured (AOL), and monitor transactions to/from external systems through interface tables (IFIN).
